The P-1 luminaire employs 8 high-power 12.5W RGBW LEDs, divided into two vertical, individually controllable segments. The P-1 includes 2000K - 10000K linear CTC color temperature control, with 16bit control over dimming and RGBW pixels. A powerful shutter and accurate color calibration provides the means for the P-1 to match the same colors available in the fixtures from the P, Q, and i series. The LEDs' expected lifetime is 50,000 hours.
This powerful wash delivers 3073 lumens, which is a staggering light output for a battery-driven LED fixture. The 10º native beam angle offers the necessary brightness to create sharp-defined effects in combination with smoke machines, while holographic filters allow a seamless and even operation with no hotspots or color shifts.
As a 100% wireless wash light, the P-1 offers a vast array of options for setups. However, the P-1 may also be wired, with or without batteries. The battery capacity of the P-1 is configurable up to 24 hours, and it only requires 3.5 hours to be recharged to 75%. The battery status may be monitored remotely via RDM or via the built-in OLED display. When connected to mains power, the P-1 only requires 70W.
The P-1 was originally conceived as a theatre set and studio luminaire. This silent running wash fixture does not require active ventilation due to its passive cooling facilities. It is a very powerful fixture for low-noise environments. The P-1 base includes rubber feet, enabling it to be placed on delicate floor surfaces without special care. Finally, the P-1 may be ordered with optional easy-fit 4-way or 8-way barndoors to eliminate undesired light bleed in theatres or studios.
For transport and storage of the P-1, SGM provides professional Amptown-Cases with SIP (Super Impact Protection) Foam inserts, with an internal charging kit in all units. This rugged high-quality flight case is designed to store four P-1 luminaires, with the ability to re-charge all the fixtures while in the case with a single mains connection, eliminating the need of individual battery charging.
The P-1 can be operated as a powerful 10º wash natively, but also as a flexible luminaire through the use of available optional low-loss holographic filters. With this magnetic set of spread angle filters, it is possible to modify the aperture of the beam angle to achieve a seamless medium spread of 19º, a powerful wide diffusion at 45º, or a versatile elliptical effect in horizontal (63º/12º) or vertical (12º/63º). An empty magnetic frame is also available for the usage of custom color filters or diffusers.
The P-1 can be mounted onto the ceiling, in a rig, or in a wall mount. The unit includes one omega bracket with two ¼ turn locking points. Optional barndoors and magnetic holographic filters are available. The P-1 is Kensington lock compatible and there is an optional anti-theft protection available for long-term installations.
All SGM lights are protected by an IP rating of 65 or 66. The durable IP65-rating ensures that the fixture is kept free of externally induced particles and liquids on internal optics and light sources, such as smoke fluid, dust, dirt, airborne pollution, and humidity. Thereby, the need to clean optics or gobos is eliminated and no internal corrosion will occur. It is ideal for outdoor applications, while being practically maintenance-free making it a sustainable and long-lasting choice for indoor events and installations as well. The IP-66 rating include the same protection, adding a protection against multi-directional, high-pressure water jets while the IP-65 is protected against low pressure.
Every SGM light is equipped with an internal built-in dehumidifier protecting the fixture from moisture, pollution and any other factors that can generate corrosion. The patented SGM dehumidification not only removes humidity but also prevents oxidation and condensation, while a gore-tex membrane equalizes internal pressure to prevent leaks.
SGM’s patented DEHUMIDIFIER, incorporated in the SGM product range, constantly removes trapped hydrogen from inside of the lighting fixture in a solid state electrolytic process with no moving parts. SGM’s DEHUMIDIFIER breaks down corrosive H2SO4 molecules, deriving from polluted air, and eliminates the effects hereof. Hereby, the unique process eliminates any risk of humidity, which would otherwise lead to condensation and corrosion.
To achieve optimum performance of the LEDs at all times, SGM lights are optimized to manage heat impact through SGM's unique thermal management technology.
High power light-emitting diodes (LEDs) use up to 5,000 milliwatts or more in a single LED. However, most of the electricity in an LED turns into heat rather than light. In fact, about 70% becomes heat generation while only 30% becomes light. Therefore, in order to get more light from your LEDs, it is crucial to have efficient thermal management. The SGM technology consists of a uniquely designed body and heat sink, which ensures optimal cooling of the LED chips. All SGM LED products consist of SGM's superior thermal management technology and tested under extreme hot and cold conditions, which ensures that the LEDs always operate within safe parameters.
