Wash/Beam Moving Head - RGBAM 150W LEDs - engineered for permanent outdoor installations - IP66 - C-5M
New
The G-4 Wash/Beam POI is part of a range of IP66-rated lighting fixtures for permanent outdoor installations, in both entertainment and architectural applications. The POI fixtures are based on the familiar standard fixtures – with the same optical performance and electrical components, but optimized for permanent outdoor installations.
They feature extremely bright and powerful colors and a resilient housing to protect them in outdoor environments. Engineered to endure even the most extreme weather conditions, the POIs take on rainy days, icy winters, dusty winds, extreme heat and salty sprays of seawater – eliminating the need to shield off the fixtures to protect them from the elements. Additionally, the P-10 POI’s simple, durable exterior defends it from vandalism.
All POI fixtures come standard with a 5 year warranty. A patented dehumidification processor prevents condensation, which in turn prevents corrosion and ultimately prolongs the lifespan of the electronic components. This technology makes SGM the only true manufacturer of permanent outdoor LED installation products.
With the A-4 RM ArtNet to DMX converter, the POI fixtures become remotely accessible, allowing you to program your show from a remote location, upload it and schedule it on site. If connected to the internet, it works as a remote monitoring device to notify the service provider of any problems in the fixtures. Customization is part of the POI philosophy. The POI fixtures are available in white and black, as well as an array of custom RAL colors, to accommodate the requirements and high aesthetic standards of architects and designers.
The G-4 Wash-Beam POI with full 'moving head' functionalities is designed and manufactured in Denmark and blends in with any contemporary or historical architecture. Base and heat sinks are made from extruded or pressure cast marine grade aluminum, Oxsilan ® pre-treated, and powder coated to corrosion class C5-M marine grade. The yoke and fan covers are made of durable materials, including impact and UV resistant P6.
The G-4 Wash-Beam POI is the first projector able to achieve a coherent and qualified light spectrum in all color temperatures by only using five colored LEDs. This is possible because of the combination between RGBAM additive mixing, included Micro-Fresnel lens, and precise SGM firmware. The G-4 Wash-Beam POI is able to reach 8190 lux at 5m distance with an excellent white and only 200W. Linear 2000K - 10000K CT control is provided, and in RAW mode the G-4 Wash-Beam POI outputs a color temperature close to 7,000K with CRI, TLCI, and CQS values above 90. These values are in a similar range when using 5,600K or 3,200K in calibrated RGB mixing. The LEDs expected lifetime is 50,000 hours.
This small but powerful fixture includes RGB mixing in its lightsource with additional amber and mint LEDs to fill the typical gaps of a LED spectrum offering rich whites in all different color temperatures. Thanks to the LED cube principal, any shade of color or white is immediately perfectly mixed, leaving no trace of color shift even at a very short distance. Through the Color Emulation DMX channel, it is possible to match most of the colors present in the LEE catalog and to output only the amber or the mint LEDs. A plus/minus green function is also included for accurate color control in TV and film shootings.
The G-4 Wash-Beam POI solves one of the biggest demands in the market: a real "congo blue" color. This projector uses a physical enhancer to create a deep and saturated blue with the characteristic shade of a real "congo blue".
Because of its brilliant optical performance, the G-4 Wash-Beam POI delivers unique features. Its zoom range goes from 4.8° to 34°º with smooth transition and no color shifts. The optical system is designed so maximum output is achieved in the 15º to 18º zoom range. By doing this, the G-4 Wash-Beam POI achieves the best light output for its size.
The G-4 Wash-Beam POI uses a Micro-Fresnel front lens capable of a bright light output while delivering a similar performance of the traditional Plano-Convex lenses. As a PC-like luminaire, the G-4 Wash-Beam POI creates sharp defined shadows in flood position, and diffuse silhouettes in spot position with a visible and a clearly defined beam of light.
The G-4 Wash POI can be mounted in any direction. Additionally, M-10 bolts are included, which ensures the fixture can be tightly screwed to a surface, protecting it from both vandalism and theft. The M-10 bolts are suitable for any kind of custom-made bracket and are included with all POI fixtures. A POI omega bracket made of untreated marine grade stainless steel, perfect for permanent rigging, is available as an accessory.
*The luminaire introduced in the video is the entertainment model, similar in terms of capabilities, but presenting some differences from the architectural model (IP, mounting options).
All SGM lights are protected by an IP rating of 65 or 66. The durable IP65-rating ensures that the fixture is kept free of externally induced particles and liquids on internal optics and light sources, such as smoke fluid, dust, dirt, airborne pollution, and humidity. Thereby, the need to clean optics or gobos is eliminated and no internal corrosion will occur. It is ideal for outdoor applications, while being practically maintenance-free making it a sustainable and long-lasting choice for indoor events and installations as well. The IP-66 rating include the same protection, adding a protection against multi-directional, high-pressure water jets while the IP-65 is protected against low pressure.
Every SGM light is equipped with an internal built-in dehumidifier protecting the fixture from moisture, pollution and any other factors that can generate corrosion. The patented SGM dehumidification not only removes humidity but also prevents oxidation and condensation, while a gore-tex membrane equalizes internal pressure to prevent leaks.
SGM’s patented DEHUMIDIFIER, incorporated in the SGM product range, constantly removes trapped hydrogen from inside of the lighting fixture in a solid state electrolytic process with no moving parts. SGM’s DEHUMIDIFIER breaks down corrosive H2SO4 molecules, deriving from polluted air, and eliminates the effects hereof. Hereby, the unique process eliminates any risk of humidity, which would otherwise lead to condensation and corrosion.
To achieve optimum performance of the LEDs at all times, SGM lights are optimized to manage heat impact through SGM's unique thermal management technology.
High power light-emitting diodes (LEDs) use up to 5,000 milliwatts or more in a single LED. However, most of the electricity in an LED turns into heat rather than light. In fact, about 70% becomes heat generation while only 30% becomes light. Therefore, in order to get more light from your LEDs, it is crucial to have efficient thermal management. The SGM technology consists of a uniquely designed body and heat sink, which ensures optimal cooling of the LED chips. All SGM LED products consist of SGM's superior thermal management technology and tested under extreme hot and cold conditions, which ensures that the LEDs always operate within safe parameters.
Originally founded in 1975, SGM brings more than 40 years of experience within the stage lighting business.
In 2009, SGM decided to bring in industry pioneer Peter Johansen to head the new Research & Development center in Denmark, with the intention to transfer technology, previously only seen possible within stage lighting, into architectural lighting.
With field expertise dating back to the invention of the smoke machine in the 70s, Peter Johansen, founder of Martin Professional, successfully established the company headquarters in Denmark in 2012, and followed by the introduction of an architectural division offering superior dynamic LED lighting, which comprises colors, strobe effects, pixel lights, positions, patterns, and gobos, in practically maintenance-fee fixtures.
