Wash static light - 2000 x RGBW SMD LEDs - engineered for permanent outdoor installations - IP66 - C-5M
New
The Q-7 POI is part of a range of IP66-rated lighting fixtures for permanent outdoor installations, in both entertainment and architectural applications. The POI fixtures are based on the familiar standard fixtures – with the same optical performance and electrical components, but optimized for permanent outdoor installations.
They feature extremely bright and powerful colors and a resilient housing to protect them in outdoor environments. Engineered to endure even the most extreme weather conditions, the POIs take on rainy days, icy winters, dusty winds, extreme heat and salty sprays of seawater – eliminating the need to shield off the fixtures to protect them from the elements. Additionally, the P-10 POI’s simple, durable exterior defends it from vandalism.
A patented dehumidification processor prevents condensation, which in turn prevents corrosion and ultimately prolongs the lifespan of the electronic components. This technology makes SGM the only true manufacturer of permanent outdoor LED installation products.
Customization is part of the POI philosophy. The POI fixtures are available in white and black, as well as an array of custom RAL colors, to accommodate the requirements and high aesthetic standards of architects and designers.
The Q-7 RGBW POI is an ultra-compact form-follows-function luminaire designed and manufactured in Denmark. The body and frame is made from extruded or pressure cast marine grade aluminum, Oxsilan ® pre-treated, and powder coated to corrosion class C5-M marine grade and blends in with any contemporary or historical architecture. The front lens consists of impact resistant tempered glass with marine grade stainless steel and aluminum fixings. The scale and fan cover is made of durable material, including impact and UV resistant P6. This fixture also comes with pignose tilt locks and a scale with mark on yoke for easy installation. The pignose tilt locks can be locked in place using the included key, protecting your fixed installations from vandalism and theft.
The compact, rectangular, and full color Q-7 RGBW POI incorporates 2,000 high-power RGBW LEDs, delivering wide-angle projections at stunning 25163 verified lumens as maximum output. In pure white LEDs, the Q-7 delivers no less than lumen in . However, one of the big advantages of the Q-7 POI is the impressive brightness in colors. It outputs 3193 lumens in Red, 6948 lumens in Green, and 1256 lumens in Blue, which is a huge amount of light for only 450W. The LEDs expected lifetime is 50,000 hours.
SGM flood lights are designed to achieve both deep reds and warm pastels as well as blue saturates, bright magentas, and soft turquoises. Additionally, it delivers a linear colour temperature control from 2000K - 10000K and best-in-class optical color mixing, with the same accurate color calibration as the entire SGM flood light range, avoiding color shifts.
The universal Q-7 RGBW POI wash and flood light can be oriented in any position. Standard accessories include half and full anti-glare shields, easily fitted to remove insight to LEDs and unwanted discomfort glare and reflections. Additionally, M-10 bolts are included, which ensures the fixture can be tightly screwed to a surface, protecting it from both vandalism and theft. The M-10 bolts are suitable for any kind of custom-made bracket and are included with all POI fixtures. Omega POI style brackets are also available for additional mounting options. Being fully RDM compatible, the Q-7 RGBW is ideal for installation in non-accessible locations.
DMX/RDM is obtained through a 5m/16.4ft cable. Power is connected through a 3 x 1½ mm2 pre-fitted 5m/16.4ft cable.
*The luminaire introduced in the video is the entertainment model, similar in terms of capabilities, but presenting some differences from the architectural model (lower IP, without pignose tilt lock).
All SGM lights are protected by an IP rating of 65 or 66. The durable IP65-rating ensures that the fixture is kept free of externally induced particles and liquids on internal optics and light sources, such as smoke fluid, dust, dirt, airborne pollution, and humidity. Thereby, the need to clean optics or gobos is eliminated and no internal corrosion will occur. It is ideal for outdoor applications, while being practically maintenance-free making it a sustainable and long-lasting choice for indoor events and installations as well. The IP-66 rating include the same protection, adding a protection against multi-directional, high-pressure water jets while the IP-65 is protected against low pressure.
Every SGM light is equipped with an internal built-in dehumidifier protecting the fixture from moisture, pollution and any other factors that can generate corrosion. The patented SGM dehumidification not only removes humidity but also prevents oxidation and condensation, while a gore-tex membrane equalizes internal pressure to prevent leaks.
SGM’s patented DEHUMIDIFIER, incorporated in the SGM product range, constantly removes trapped hydrogen from inside of the lighting fixture in a solid state electrolytic process with no moving parts. SGM’s DEHUMIDIFIER breaks down corrosive H2SO4 molecules, deriving from polluted air, and eliminates the effects hereof. Hereby, the unique process eliminates any risk of humidity, which would otherwise lead to condensation and corrosion.
To achieve optimum performance of the LEDs at all times, SGM lights are optimized to manage heat impact through SGM's unique thermal management technology.
High power light-emitting diodes (LEDs) use up to 5,000 milliwatts or more in a single LED. However, most of the electricity in an LED turns into heat rather than light. In fact, about 70% becomes heat generation while only 30% becomes light. Therefore, in order to get more light from your LEDs, it is crucial to have efficient thermal management. The SGM technology consists of a uniquely designed body and heat sink, which ensures optimal cooling of the LED chips. All SGM LED products consist of SGM's superior thermal management technology and tested under extreme hot and cold conditions, which ensures that the LEDs always operate within safe parameters.
Originally founded in 1975, SGM brings more than 40 years of experience within the stage lighting business.
In 2009, SGM decided to bring in industry pioneer Peter Johansen to head the new Research & Development center in Denmark, with the intention to transfer technology, previously only seen possible within stage lighting, into architectural lighting.
With field expertise dating back to the invention of the smoke machine in the 70s, Peter Johansen, founder of Martin Professional, successfully established the company headquarters in Denmark in 2012, and followed by the introduction of an architectural division offering superior dynamic LED lighting, which comprises colors, strobe effects, pixel lights, positions, patterns, and gobos, in practically maintenance-fee fixtures.
